“L’8 Marzo 2013 a Roma, in occasione della manifestazione per la giornata mondiale della donna, alcune attiviste, crearono su un muro periferico della città, la scritta “FEMINISTS” . Pochi giorni dopo, di fianco, comparve il
termine “fuck”, che ne cambiava volutamente il significato. Dopo una breve discussione interna le attiviste decisero di NON intervenire sullo sfregio, poichè avvalorava e sottolineava i termini della protesta stessa, creando però dirimpetto una nuova scritta che recitava “NON SEI SOLA”. Partendo da questo episodio, dal quale prende spunto il titolo, provocatorio e disturbante, il documentario si interroga ed esplora sulle capacità dell’arte di veicolare importanti messaggi politici, di lotta, di identità, e di riappropriazione degli spazi, attraverso uno sguardo unico e al contempo collettivo, mai binario, che comprende varie identità di genere e nuove forme espressive. Attraverso il prezioso contributo delle esperte, e per mezzo del racconto biografico e delle opere di alcune tra le più interessanti e talentuose artiste di arte urbana del panorama internazionale, il film, racconta, a più voci, uno spazio e una disciplina in continuo cambiamento ed evoluzione, aprendo a un dibattito stimolante e creativo.

Alice Rotiroti
Erika Segni Alice Rotiroti is an author, director, screenwriter, photographer and writing teacher. In 2019 she received the FEDIC award as “Emerging Author”. In 2020 you won the Film Commission Sardinia tender with the screenplay of the feature film “The Last Line of Things” directed by director Enrico Pau currently in production. In 2021 she is the winner of the MIBACT selective contribution for the writing of the TV series “TRE”. As a director you wrote and directed the short film “[a-live]” in 2018 which investigates the relationship between art and suicide by placing art as a saving element, winner of several national and international festivals and was also highly appreciated in the circles of psychoanalysis; in 2020 you wrote and directed the short film “MEZZAGIORNATA” which was inspired by the events of the Seawatch and its captain Carola Rackete; and in 2023 she produces and directs the feature-length documentary “FUCK FEMINISTS-feminist voices in the world of street art”.
Also in 2023, “LA POÉSIE EST LÀ OÙ ON NE L’ATTEND PAS” was released, a collection of poetic texts and images taken in over 20 countries around the world. You have been part of numerous film festival juries and as a teacher you have taken part in writing workshops for cinema.
She graduated in psychology, she studied photography with Letizia Battaglia and photolanguage with Giudy Waiser as well as having attended the directing laboratory of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. You have previously worked in psychiatric residencies in close contact with mental distress which has become one of the central themes of your artistic research together with the struggle, the question of gender identity and the “feminine” question in all its forms.
