Gaia Siria Meloni
Gaia Siria Meloni (Rome, 1990) is a director and cultural operator with the Cinema Mundi Coop Onlus which has managed the Aquila cinema in Rome since 2018. She curated the documentary selection at the Tulipano Nero festival. Graduated from Sapienza University of Rome in Sociology, she attended the Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti in Milan. Her graduation short film at the Civica, Senza negazione (2019), made together with Elisa Baccolo and Giacomo Riillo, participated and was awarded in various film festivals. She worked as an assistant director and in archive research for Romanzo Radicale (2021) by Mimmo Calopresti. With /ma tri mò nio/ she won the 2022-23 edition of the Zavattini Prize.
