The festival

DocuDonna, the international festival of documentaries by female filmmakers, introduces a new perspective dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the documentary made by women into the calendar of Italian and international festivals. A heritage of images, sensibilities and points of view, disseminated into a cultural industry dominated by men.

The Festival is aimed at directors who intend to present their works as their own personal vision of the world. An international festival of women’s documentaries to attract many film lovers, especially of the documentary genre, as well as lovers of art and beauty in general.

Cristina Berlini

Founder, Artistic Director, Project Manager

Filmmaker, with a great interest in social and anthropological issues. after having lived for more than ten years in Amsterdam she has returned to Italy, collaborating on various artistic and documentary projects. She has participated with her works in national and international festivals. She is the founder and artistic director of the DocuDonna festival dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the documentary made by female filmmakers in order to promote their diverse film production.

Elisabetta Galgani

Moderator

Elisabetta Galgani is a professional journalist who has been dealing with the environment, culture and gender issues for years. You have worked, among others, with Nuova Ecologia, Left-Avvenimenti and Paese sera and as an author for Raitre and RaisatRagazzi. You are president of the Marmorata169 association, you are a member of “Tutte a casa”, a collective that produced the doc that narrates women in lockdown. Passionate and curious about documentary cinema, her collaborations include hers with the female Europa Cinema Festival in Naples and with the Moscerine Film Festival in Rome.

Sandra Innamorato

Communication Manager

Graduated in philosophy and then in cinema and visual culture, since 2018 she is film critic for the cinema, series and theater magazine Birdmen Magazine. She was in jury at the 77th Venice Film Festival for the Unimed Prize, dedicated to artistic awareness of multiculturalism and ethnic differences, and every year she participates as a press referent in numerous national and international festivals. In 2019 she founded the Società di Dibattiti Pavese, an association that deals with reflecting on the contemporary and its deepest fractures. Since 2022 she has been the tutor of cinema of the Fraschini Theater Foundation and Politeama Cinema for primary school teaching. She works with visual studies and contemporary images, studying the relationship between media, gaze and everyday life.

The international festival of documentaries by female filmmakers DocuDonna, is organized by the cultural association Gremigna based in Tuscany, in Massa Marittima in the province of Grosseto in collaboration with the City of Massa Marittima.
